IMI Lab Team Wins Award at DigiQuest

with Innovative Platform for Artists

At DigiQuest, an event hosted by Inholland University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam that celebrates digital innovation, a team of creators from the International Music Industry Lab achieved a significant milestone. Their idea for a platform to support emerging artists earned them one of the event’s prestigious awards. DigiDQuest serves as a platform for students and professionals to explore emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, augmented reality (AR), and blockchain, and their potential impact on the future of work.

The event combines inspiring talks, hands-on workshops, and a marketplace of prototypes, where participants present their ideas to an international jury. This year, teams from countries such as Canada and China competed, but the IMI Lab team stood out with their innovative project.

A Platform for Equality in the Music Industry

The winning project tackles a critical challenge in the music industry: the difficult entry for up-and-coming artists. Their concept focuses on creating a platform where young musicians can expand their reach, gain industry knowledge, and access valuable resources. Through the platform, users can take courses on music rights, connect with industry professionals, and utilize tools designed to jumpstart their careers.

“The music industry can be really hard to break into if you don’t already have connections,” explained Steven, one of the team members. “Our platform aims to lower that barrier and give new talent a fair chance to succeed.” By addressing the issue of equality within the music industry, the team created a project that is both relevant and achievable.

Ambitious and Future-Focused

With their platform, the Creators have not only won a award but also introduced a concept with the potential to make the music industry more accessible. DigiQuest provided the team with an opportunity to present their idea to a wider audience.

Looking ahead, the Creators are excited to take the next steps, winning this award has positioned them as a shining example of how creativity and technology can work hand in hand to shape the future of the music industry.

We’re incredibly proud of the team, this award not only highlights the success of the Creators but also reinforces the value we strive to bring through the IMI lab.
